Effect of early treatment with fluvoxamine on risk of emergency care and hospitalisation among patients with COVID-19: the TOGETHER randomised, platform clinical trial (The Lancet)
Read the first large, randomized controlled trial to test the efficacy of fluvoxamine, an inexpensive existing drug, for acute treatment of COVID-19. Findings show that fluvoxamine reduces the need for advanced disease care in this high-risk population.

Atopic comorbidity has no impact on severity and course of COVID-19 disease in adult patients (Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology)
According to this study, the data support the evidence that atopic comorbidities have no unfavorable impact on severity and course of COVID-19. Clinicians should be aware that patients with atopic diseases might stop taking their effective medication due to COVID-19, yet due the potential benefit discontinuation should be avoided, requiring good clinical care and patient education.
